Team USA’s Steve Lessard, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana has been crowned the 2014 Hobie Fishing World Champion! Lessard measured an additional 112cm on the final day of competition for a total score of 356cm and claimed the top prize!
Team USA’s Steve Lessard takes a comfortable lead with 2 fish for 120cm giving him a two day total of 252cm. 72cm ahead of Kyle Moxen from Canada who also netted two fish today for a total length of 96cm and an aggregate length of 180cm. Current world champion Richard Somerton from Australia defends his title on day one of the 4th Hobie Fishing World Championship with a total of 142cm for two fish.
